Job Description

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day maintenance activities of the organization. This role ensures that facilities, equipment, and systems are well-maintained, safe, and fully operational. The supervisor will lead a team of technicians and maintenance staff, assign tasks, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, plan, and coordinate daily maintenance operations across facilities and equipment.
  • Assign tasks and monitor the performance of maintenance staff, providing guidance and training as required.
  • Inspect buildings, systems, and equipment to identify issues and schedule timely repairs.
  • Develop and oversee preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventory, and repair histories.
  • Liaise with contractors, vendors, and external service providers when specialized repairs are required.
  • Monitor and control maintenance budgets, tools, and spare parts inventory.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Prepare reports on maintenance performance, completed work, and improvement recommendations.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor, Team Leader, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, etc.).
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance management systems (CMMS) is an advantage.
  • Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 4–6 years of maintenance experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
