Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and personable Chinese National Waitress to join our team. This role will be responsible for providing high-quality service to our guests in a refined, elegant setting, ensuring a memorable dining experience that aligns with our fine-dining standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Service : Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed information on menu items, daily specials, and beverages.
- Order Taking : Accurately take orders and communicate any special requests or dietary restrictions to the kitchen.
- Food & Beverage Service : Serve food and beverages professionally, ensuring proper etiquette and adherence to fine-dining service standards.
- Menu Knowledge : Have a deep understanding of the menu offerings, including preparation methods, ingredients, and pairings, to provide informed recommendations to guests.
- Quality Control : Ensure orders are served in a timely manner, with the correct presentation and temperature.
- Upselling : Suggest and promote special dishes, wine pairings, and other high-quality items to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Table Maintenance : Keep tables clean, clear empty plates, and ensure all guests have what they need throughout their dining experience.
- Complaint Handling : Address any guest concerns or complaints professionally, seeking management assistance if necessary.
- Team Collaboration : Work effectively with kitchen staff, sommeliers, and other service team members to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
- Cleanliness & Organization : Ensure the dining area, tables, and service stations are clean, well-organized, and comply with health and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Nationality : Chinese national (visa support available if required).
- Experience : Previous experience in fine dining or upscale restaurants preferred.
- Language Skills : Fluent in Mandarin and English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Customer Service Skills : Polished interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to connect with and engage guests.
- Knowledge of Fine Dining: Familiarity with fine-dining etiquette, food and beverage presentation, and menu service procedures.
- Physical Stamina : Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry heavy trays if necessary.
- Appearance : Presentable and well-groomed in adherence to the restaurant’s appearance standards.
